I want to start a paper with "So this one time..." and then end it with "...and then I found five dollars." I think this is a good plan. Also, Paul is the best at finding things that I've lost and now need, like the book I need to write a 5 page paper on by tomorrow.

I  have not seen the movie 300 myself, but I just read [personal profile] trinityofone's review of it, and wow. I mean, when I first heard about this movie I thought it might be a really cool action film (an army of Persians overtake a passionate foe, betrayal is pretty cool when it's on the other side), but then the rumors started going around that it was made by Bush-lovers and was super racist, historically incorrect, and misogynistic, and well now reading the review, I can't imagine wanting to see it. As a woman, as a Persian person, heck as a thinking person I know it'll just piss me off. I told Paul that I would prefer he not pay to see it, he can buy a ticket to another movie and see it if he really wants to.

It's sad, my first thought was to check and see if Mel Gibson was involved with the film. He's a fun actor who's been in some movies i have really liked, but I can't deal with misogyny, drunkenness, racism, antisemitism, and ahistoric drivel that seems to be all he can do these days. Depressing.

Paul says that Shannon will most likely see this movie, I am interested to hear her comments.

Are so sweet and starting to like each other more and more.

Because he is just that cute )

Also, Feanor needs to go to the vet, turns out he does have the cold that was going around the humane society. Good thing we've kept them separate so far, hopefully we'll only have to treat one sick cat and not two.

apparently darjeeling tea is good for the heart, except when you add skim milk. What? I drink a large glass of darjeeling with skim milk just about every morning, it's delicious and I know black tea drinkers have lower incidents of ovarian cancer (something I may be at risk for for other reasons), but that I wouldn't get the heart benefits because of the splash of milk I add? It's depressing. Today I am having my tea sans milk. Perhaps my next glass will have milk though, I really like it best that way.

Bristol Myers Squibb has their 3rd annual light to unite website up, basically for everyone that visits the sight (flash, no obnoxious ads though) and "lights a candle" they donate a dollar to the National AIDS Fund until they reach a 100,000 goal. When I visited they were at 66,676, so they definitely need the word spread.

I remember where I've heard the phrase 'pursuit of happiness' before....

(Now if only they didn't have to vote in an anti-choice douche bag to get this frothy mixture out of the senate)

What's a good score on the GRE? How accurate are the scores they give you at the end of the test?
